Q:I have seen a cheaper version for sale online on eBay/amazon/etc. Why should I buy yours?
A: We are the ORIGINAL. I designed and invented the 24 Volt mod™ back in the early 2000's. We then spent thousands of dollars and many years testing and developing the 24 Volt Mod™.
Awhile back we lost a part supplier and thought we were not going to be able to continue to manufacture the 24 Volt Mod™.
During this time some people looked at the opportunity to make money off our product by making a fake version and selling it for a fast buck.
These versions are not rated to handle 24 volts. These units could over heat and cause fire or damage to your guitar.
These knock off units will also not fit inside a guitar battery box. The battery holder they use for these knock offs are made for a type N battery that is only rated for 1.5 volts per side.
The old saying is "you get what you pay for". We put all of what we had in developing this product and we stand behind our product and commitment to safety. Don't risk your safety or damage to your equipment by using a product made by someone only looking to make a quick buck off of our hard work.
We receive messages constantly about these fakes being defective or causing damage. Some fakes aren't even putting out the desired 24 volts as they have been wired poorly. We have had a few sent to us for inspection and we recommend you stay away from these amateur products that use our name and descriptions. These products give our product a bad name.
